Bloc Party's reclusive and enigmatic frontman Kele Okereke is releasing a solo album. This is not altogether unexpected - the band has been talking about going their own seperate ways, musically, and Kele has been doing voicework for various artists (such as the Chemical Brothers and Tiesto), as well as the way Bloc Party's music has been adapting to his own changing influences. The album is set to come out on June 21st, is called
The Boxer, and the first single is going to be called "Tenderoni," and is being produced by Spank Rock.
Huh.
Well, I'll wait till anything until I pass judgement.
